In my spare time I love to cook. Mauritius has a rich culinary history that blends African, Indian, European and Chinese influences. As few people in the US are familiar with Mauritian cuisine I love the opportunity to introduce them to some of my favorite dishes from home, like crunchy gatau piment, spicy fish vindiye, or delicious jack fruit biryani.

As well as cooking the familiar I also enjoy experimenting with new cuisines. I have traveled extensively and tasting foods from around the world, and learning how to cook them at home, is something I really enjoy. Here are some photos of me during some cooking classes in Thailand and Laos.
