In my spare time, I like to write - no not Books... computer software. Recently, I have developed an Alumni Finder for my country - MoKamarade.com. It was huge success. In less than 5 months, it already has more than 12,000 active members. Set up the site for some other countries as well - Kawanaku.com for Malaysia, Doost.com for Iran, HamroSathi.com for Nepal, LangotiyaYaar.com for India and SumaHarit.com for Gambia. If your country does not have or needs such a site, please contact me and we'll work on some partnership.
I am also working on a virtual Mauritius site. Its a site where one can get Virtual Mauritius food. Two other major sites in big re-construction are WebMauritius.com, which will be an internet Portal for Mauritius and JobsMauritius.com, which will cater for the needs of jobseekers and Employers in Mauritius. I am trying to make these sites as generic as possible so that it can be adapted to the other countries I already have the alumni site for. These sites were for my country mostly. What else did I do? I am Hindu. So I thought that i need to do somehting for my religion also. I built a virtual Mandir, a virtual replica of an actual temple near my home. The temple is the Shiv Shakti Mandir. I love cooking (sometimes.. i think if i would not have chosen the computer career path.. i would have loved to be a Chef). So I am into a major project to reunite all cooking styles and receipes of the whole world in one single site. That site is just at its beginnings though. Not worked on it much. The site will be CookGate.com and will be a major cooking and food portal. What else did i develop? lets see.. I got a couple of E-Commerce sites like, Marinefilters.com and OxPatch. I also got a major Open Source Project available to the world. Its the Enterprise Payroll Systems available at Sourceforge.net for free. There are two other developers working with me on that. Another of my Open Source contribution is a mini PHP program also available on SourceForge - phpHostsFinder. Other minor websites I have done are for the Ole Miss ISO, Ole Miss India Association, Counseling Center, Ole Miss, ACM Student Chapter, Olemiss, WaternetLLC, my Dad's Website, ICP's Website and Computer Science Department, Ole Miss. |
