My Hobbies

My hobbies?? Well, where to start? I enjoy nature. I love Hiking and camping and anything outdoors. The latest outdoors stuff i have tried was Rock Climbing. University was offering such a course in my last semester and I took it for the fun of it (I also took a golf course this last semester, but I did not grow any good at it either). Rock Climbing was among the hardest things I ever did. The hardest rock I managed to climb was a 5.8. Not a hard level, but still was pretty challenging for me. Other outdoors stuff I enjoy a lot is Canoeing and Rafting. Wish I could do Kayaking also... not tried that yet. I recently tried Caving. That was nice also. Had a great time. (that's definitely not for claustrophobic). I just would like to take a quick chance to thank Ole Miss Outdoors for all these great Adventures. I enjoy walking trails and camping out in Nature. Nothing better than a clear black night with zillions of shiny bright stars, no city noises, animals sounds all over and mosquitoes sucking away your blood. :)

I like to cook and in my sparse free time, I experiment different dishes. Though some of them have come out great, some have turned out very very inedible. I like to make friends and know about different cultures of the world. I am trying to learn japanese on my own with a self study CD rom.. hopefully, I'll be successful at that and start the other languages I have in mind to study - spanish, russian, chinese and italian.

I like photography. I take a lot of pictures from nature to abstract pictures. As much as it is an interesting hobby, it is also a very expensive hobby. With all these hobbies, it had to definitely converge to me loving Travelling.

I love travelling. I dream of backpaking the whole world one day. So, far, I have travelled India, Malaysia, Singapore, London, Thailand and numerous cities in the continental USA - Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Pensacola, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Niagara Falls, Washington DC, Los Angeles, St Louis, Memphis, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Charlotte, Boston, Salem, and Hot Springs and others. My last trip dates of February 2006. I webt to Montego Bay, Jamaica for one week at an all inclusive resort. It was wonderful.

Last but not least, I adore computers as you should have noticed :) I can spend hours and hours at a PC doing numerous stuff.. amongst which are web design, graphics design, linuxing and learning more about it, chatting(irc can be addictive sometimes), developing open source software, experimenting new softwares, and just fooling around with anything computer related.
